Advertising and Disclosure Policy
Developing new patterns and creating engaging, informative content for a small, niche audience takes time and – sometimes – out of pocket expense that isn’t (yet) always recovered by the pattern sales themselves.
Often, I’m really excited to tell you about something I’ve used or tried (other than my own products, of course) that may (or may not) be useful to you, too, and I’ll include links to those products, services, or experiences in my posts. In order to help offset the costs of developing new styles and creating educational content for the blog on this site, some of those links may be part of an affiliate program. An affiliate link means that if you click the link to a product I’ve mentioned and make a purchase, I will receive a small commission from the sale. For example, as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. (Not all links or product mentions are necessarily affiliate marketing or advertisements, though!)
I promise that I’ll only include affiliate links that are relevant and contextual, for things that I would have written about anyway, and I’ll always indicate which links are part of an affiliate program by marking them with ($).
At this time I do not include any third-party ads or sponsored posts. Any reviews posted on the blog are my honest opinions based on my personal experiences with products and services which were purchased with my own money (or, sometimes, which were given to me as gifts by loved ones who purchased it with their own money and are otherwise unaffiliated with the company or product in question – basically, I’m not getting any special inside deal that any other ordinary consumer isn’t). If that ever changes, I’ll be sure to disclose my sponsored relationship to that particular product and update this section accordingly.
